ABOUT THE BIKE

Ron and Chuck Wendt of Rowe Machine in Wallingford CT are performing most of the work on this particular build.

They are master builders and fabricators who have an impeccable reputation in the custom automotive and motorcycle industry. They are two of the best-known and well-respected craftsman in the custom wheel industry for their "old school" values. They are members of Locals 700 and 1746 respectively in district 26. Members of their Locals are assisting in various phases of the fabrication and "mock-up" of the build.

The bike itself is a Pro-Street style soft-tail design. A 113 motor with right side drive 6 speed polished transmission powers it. The rear tire is a 250X18 and the front tire a 120-70X21. Both are Avon Tires. The frame is a Rolling Thunder custom and the bike features a stock, chrome-enclosed primary. The handlebars are by Custom Cycle Controls. The wheels are custom one-off billet cut by Rowe Machine and the design is top secret until the finished bike is revealed. The paint is a custom design by IAMAW and Justin Barnes and is again, top secret.

We can tell you this much: the IAMAW Union historically inspires the theme of this bike. It's going to be amazing! Watch the Progress Report for updates.
